  • Implement, maintain, and enforce the Museum’s collection management policies and procedures, assuring their ethical integrity and effectiveness with regards to art objects and collection management standards.

  • Guide objects through the accessions process involving the administration of Deed of Gift and Gift in Kind forms, creating provenance files, issuing object numbers, labeling objects and finding appropriate storage.

  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing loan and exhibition logistics, overseeing transportation, packing, shipping, and storage.

  • Condition works of art as they are received by the museum as loans and accessions, allowing for the examination and handling of a variety of art media.

  • Independently identify and solve collection conservation problems including poor storage materials, problems with art objects, insect infestations and dirt/dust problems.

  • Monitor gallery and storage environments related to the collection and exhibitions

  • Manage and organize object, constituent, exhibition and loan records in The Museum System (TMS) database

  • Administer legal forms (loan agreement, incoming/outgoing receipt, etc.), as well as other appropriate forms, contracts, and logs related to the collection.

  • Communicate with artists, lenders, and donors via email and phone, while also closely working with members of museum staff on a daily basis.

  • Courier outgoing loaned objects in international exhibitions in order to ensure safe and secure arrival of artwork and proper installation.

  • Draft, oversee, and maintain the Museum’s Disaster Response Plan for collections, safety of staff and visitors

  • Advise staff on matters concerning storage, insurance, loan, security and display of objects, condition, as well as other collection or exhibition issues

  • Assist preparators in gallery turn over and movement of artwork when needed.

  • Plan, prep and teach workshops to children, young adults and participating parents during monthly events that corresponded to works within the museum while making most efficient use of the museum's supplies.

  • Help visiting artists execute their projects at family programs by teaching and communicating the artist’s vision to children.

  • Conduct research on art works and artists within ongoing exhibitions in order to give tours to a range of visitors, from preschoolers to the university’s group of trusted donors.

  • Partake in various outreach opportunities at schools and events within the community, informing the public about the museum’s ongoing family programs and exhibitions through means of presentation and project making.

Curatorial and Arizona State University Gallery 100 Experience     June 2015-May 2015

  • Organized and executed senior capstone exhibition involving exhibition design, marketing to target audiences, installing artwork in the gallery space, planning and throwing an opening and deinstalling the exhibition.

  • Curated an exhibition entitled Luminous for the ASU Herberger Institute School of Art’s Harry Wood Annex involving the creation of a call for art, keeping an open line of communication with the artists, overseeing artist drop off and pick-up of work, designing the display case and installing/de-installing exhibition.

  • Served as a gallery attendant for Gallery 100 in Tempe, AZ. Tasks included greeting and informing visitors about the current exhibition, overlooking the gallery and ensuring art works were safe and displayed properly.

Arizona Science Center, Phoenix, AZ, Smithsonian Young Ambassador Intern     June 2012-Aug 2012

  • Selected to attend a seminar in Washington D.C., gaining leadership and networking experience while visiting various museums and Capitol Hill to discuss and understand the role of Latinos in the arts, sciences and humanities.

  • Designed multidisciplinary project based on an ongoing sustainability exhibition that incorporated art into a scientific environment.

  • Interviewed individuals that worked in various departments in the Science Center to understand their interdisciplinary roles in meeting the Museum’s mission and how their community of staff worked together.
